Issaquah area reliability and capacity improvements

Warning
PSE and Potelco crews will be onsite conducting electric equipment survey work starting the week of July 15. This work is anticipated to last until the end of August. The notification letter below was sent to those along the route of the survey work. Please reference the notification for more detailed information.

Project overview

PSE recently completed an electric reliability and capacity study of the Issaquah area. Issaquah has seen a boom in population and is moving towards higher density development. This means more people are using more energy, all of which requires additional energy capacity to serve. By improving capacity in the Issaquah area, and installing supporting infrastructure, PSE will be able to continue to provide safe, reliable power into the future.

This work is in the early stages and you may see PSE staff and our contractors in the area conducting fieldwork. This can include things like soil testing, surveying existing infrastructure, and managing vegetation.

We’re beginning the process of project design and preliminary permitting. We will continue updating the community as the project design progresses.
